Karen Dominguez-Cavin is the founder of Zento Healing, based in Flagstaff, Arizona. She supports people on a spiritual journey who feel overwhelmed, ungrounded, or unsure of what is next. Many of the people who find her are empaths, intuitive beginners, and those moving through spiritual awakenings who want to feel more present in their body, more connected to their guidance, and more steady in daily life.
People come to Karen for connection, clarity, calm, and support. They often want help trusting their intuition, understanding their natural gifts, creating a spiritual practice that fits who they are, and receiving guidance around life, love, business, and purpose. Some people are also seeking energy healing and chakra support, not as something “out there,” but as a way to feel lighter, more centered, and more like themselves again.
ROOTED IN “WOO WOO,” GROUNDED IN REAL LIFE
Karen grew up in a home filled with what she calls “woo woo.” Intuition and Spirit were part of everyday life, not something to fear or hide. Her mother and maternal grandmother were metaphysically aware, spiritual but not religious, and it was normal in her home to talk about energy, read each other’s auras, and speak openly about what most people keep private. Karen remembers thinking it was all normal, and honestly, sometimes she just wanted to go play outside.
That early foundation became a steady practice over time, and eventually it became what Karen now offers others, a safe, grounded place where spiritual connection and real life support can exist in the same room.
HOW KAREN’S CONNECTION BEGAN
Karen’s earliest memories of connecting with Spirit began very young. She was three years old when her brother passed away, and by around age four she vividly remembers sensing him through dreams, visions, and out loud conversations, along with a clear feeling of communication in return.
Even as a child, she felt called to help and comfort others. When her mom had headaches, Karen would place her hands on her mother and, in her own childlike way of understanding, “pull” the pain out until she could feel it, then send it out through the top of her head into deep space so it could not hurt anyone anymore. Looking back, she recognizes this as the beginning of her healing work, long before she had words for it.
LINEAGE AND SPIRIT, THE UNSEEN SUPPORT THAT HAS ALWAYS BEEN THERE
Karen also carries a deep connection to her family lineage. Her paternal grandmother was a channel and Tarahumara Indian of Northern Mexico, also known as the Rarámuri, the “light footed people.” Karen never met her in this lifetime, but she has been a steady guide and teacher from the other side of the veil.
Karen’s maternal grandmother also became a guide and teacher after she passed on 5/15/05, helping Karen grow even further in her gifts and abilities of communicating with Spirit, guides, and angels.
This matters to Karen because it is part of how she understands Spirit. Connection is real. Support is real. The unseen is not separate from life. It is woven through it.
HOW KAREN WORKS
Karen channels guidance from angels and guides, as well as the spiritual support team connected to each client. She receives intuitive impressions through words, images, feelings, inner knowing, and visions. During sessions, she works as a conduit for what is meant to come through, and the energy work is guided by Spirit in collaboration with the client’s team.
Karen often describes it like this. She is not “doing” the healing to you. She is supporting you, so your own natural healing abilities can activate. She helps you reconnect to what you already carry inside.
Along the way, Karen may use crystals and oracle cards as additional tools, and she often recommends meditation and journaling to help clients stay grounded and build a stronger relationship with their own intuition and guidance. She also may suggest breathwork in a gentle and intuitive way, not rigid or intense, but supportive.
